LINEWORK is a series of interactive freehand drawing workshops facilitated by architect and conceptual artist, Lorenzo Nassimbeni. The workshop hosted by SEA (School for Explorative Architecture) is aimed at school students from grades 10 to 12 to explore architectural, design and artistic concepts through the medium of freehand drawing and model making. Students will be taught key skills in the discipline of drawing as well as methods to compile a graphic portfolio. The aim is to equip students with the ability to make a strong portfolio for application to study architecture, design, art and other related creative disciplines at tertiary education level.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

  1. Payment must be settled at least 5 working days prior to the date of the workshop in order to secure a place. There is a limit of 15 participants in the workshop. Proof of payment confirms your space.

  2. Participants must register with their own details when registering for a workshop. In the event that an individual registers on behalf of someone else, it is their responsibility to ensure that the participant’s details have been entered correctly when registering.

  3. Should a registration be made by the legal guardian of a participant, the legal guardian must provide LINEWORK with the contact details of the participant so that they may be included in all necessary correspondence.

  4. Should payment for the workshop be made by the legal guardian of a participant, the legal guardian must provide LINEWORK with the proof of payment.

  5. If a potential participant registers for the workshop and does not pay within 5 days prior to the date of the workshop, LINEWORK cannot guarantee that a place will be available at the workshop.

  6. Any person that has registered for the workshop but not made payment will not be permitted to do the workshop.

  7. There is a cancellation fee of 50% of the workshop fee for cancellations at any time post payment being made for the workshop.

  8. Cancellations on the day of the workshop will not receive a refund.

  9. No registrations will be accepted on the day of the workshop.

  10. Participants must register through the registration link on the website. Registrations through email will not be processed.

  11. Participants will be added to a WhatsApp group for ease of communication of information about the workshop before it has begun.

  12. All artworks created by participants which are posted on Social Media or any other media platform will be accredited to the author. Tags on INSTAGRAM of artworks by participants will only be placed if the participant willingly makes their tag handled known to LINEWORK.

  13. The drawing methodology and workshop briefs are the intellectual property of Lorenzo Nassimbeni. Standard copyright policy applies. Participants may not disseminate the briefs, or use them in any courses they might teach.

  14. POPI ACT : This notice is to acknowledge the new data protection legislation that came into effect from the 1st July 2021. In accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPI Act) I commit to the protection of your personal information and to never sharing your personal details and contact information with any Third Party without your permission.

  15. LINEWORK does not take any responsibility for loss or injury incurred during the workshop in the drawing process. For example, in some exercises craft knives for cutting paper and cardboard are used, and care must be taken when using such equipment. Participants are responsible for their own safety when performing the drawing exercises.

  16. By paying for the workshop in advance, the participant agrees to the terms and conditions listed above.
